Tom Scudamore suffers broken wrist in Worcester fall

After suffering a broken wrist in a fall at Worcester on 24, jockey Tom Scudamore is set to get a spell on the sidelines.
Scudamore was riding the David Pipe-trained Malangen in the opening novices’ handicap chase when his bracket suffered a fall in the third fence – badly hampering.
Scudamore walked off from the episode, however, his injury has been affirmed.
Pipe stated:”Unfortunately he’s broken his wrist and he has also got some spine pain, so they have kept him in hospital for additional checks.
“He is going to be outside for some time, obviously.”
The accident of scudamore chemicals a tough couple of days to the Pond House team, together with Noel’s Boy equally suffering fatal accidents and Timeforben.
“They say that these things come in threes, so fingers crossed it is behind us now,” Pipe added.
Another jockey in the wars Tuesday has been Callum Bewley, who needed to be taken after falling at Kelso from Jackie Stephen’s Welcome Ben.
Welcome Ben was injured after bringing Amazing Ben down and exiting at the third fence
Bewley’s representative, Richard Hale, explained:”I spoke to his father last night and it seems like he’s tweaked a couple ribs, but there no damage to any vertebrae or anything similar to this, thankfully.
“He’s clearly a bit sore, but he should not be off for too long, I would not have believed – perhaps a couple weeks.”
